SagerStrong Foundation and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Partner to Bring “March Mania” to the Zone!
SagerStrong Foundation to bring the magic and excitement of March Madness to the Zone for a fun afternoon of basketball, food, and fun!
Just in time to celebrate college basketball playoffs, the SagerStrong Foundation and the Zone at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta partner to bring the excitement of March on the college hardwoods to the hospital, to take patients minds’ off their treatment and make them smile!
The SagerStrong Foundation is partnering with the Zone to host (3) patient events at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to celebrate March Madness … and bring joy into the hospital — with a bracket party to “select” our teams, have pizza, and make crafts, a “sweet sixteen” celebration with friends and the first annual SagerStrong Shootout at the Zone!
March was always a special time for Craig Sager, the Hall of Fame sports reporter who covered NCAA men’s basketball and the NBA, as well as a host of other sports over his 42 year career. Craig criss-crossed the country in the Spring each year, bringing fans an up close look at the players on the court. The SagerStrong Foundation wanted to continue to celebrate this special time, in honor of Craig, to remember his work–and mixing in fun– in “SagerStyle.”
The three visits will mark the highlights of the tournament — celebrating the tradition of picking the basketball brackets to predict who will win it all, then marking the fun of Sweet Sixteen and celebrating the hard work of those that made it that far, with a viewing party and culminating the big “dance” with a fun, basketball shootout, on the great half court at the Zone, in honor of the occasion with special basketball friends.
