Great day for Dingers at the Ballpark!

It was great to be back at Aviation Sports Complex in Marietta for the Third Annual Crushin’ for a Cause event, benefitting the SagerStrong Foundation and The 6-4-3 Foundation! Special thank you to Tyler Tolve and 6-4-3 DP Baseball for hosting the day each year, and of course, all of his teammates, partner organizations, volunteers and our very special sponsors for making this event a success!

The addition of the Amateur Home Run Derby, powered by Prep Baseball Georgia, was truly a fan favorite– this athletes can swing it! It was fun to watch these 13 and 14U future stars in action – and a great competition overall! Congratulations to Team Elite Georgia for taking the honors, with Chris Reed winning the event with 5 homers in the last round – (18 overall) – taking home the Mizuno Bat!

The day featured a silent auction, the hit trax, fun concessions and the two derbies — and the Professional HR Derby, the centerpiece of the event did NOT disappoint!

• More than 139 homers were hit over the course of the event… and what an ending!
• The semifinals went down to three… Last year’s winner, Cael Chatham, Parks, Harber, and Colin Houck.
• The final round went down to Cael and Parks — with a tie taking them into tie-breaking round — with Parks, a former 6-4-3 alum now playing for the San Francisco Giants Organization, winning the event!

It was a great day at the ballpark, in support of two great charities!

** A special moment of the day – Cincinnati Reds Kyle Henley also hitting in the derby… donned a very special jersey — a replica jersey inspired by Craig Sager’s jacket from the 2015 ESPYs, created by the Daytona Tortugas (his team last year) with Vince Carter’s spearheading the fundraiser back in 2017 in memory of Craig Sager to fight #bloodcancer.
