The SagerStrong Foundation is proud to participate annually in the NBA Cares initiative through the National Basketball Association during All-Star Weekend. NBA Cares is the league’s global social responsibility program that builds on the NBA’s mission of addressing important social issues in the U.S. and around the world.

SagerStrong Hometown Hero Award

The SagerStrong Foundation Hometown Hero program honors a pediatric leukemia patient annually that embodies everything the SagerStrong Foundation stands for:  perseverance, strength and, above all, courage.  The program was created in Craig Sager’s memory to inspire and “lift up” young patients in their fight to know they have so many others “fighting” in their corner with them.  Learn More here:

March Mania

The SagerStrong Foundation and the Zone at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta partner to bring the excitement of March on the college hardwoods, during college basketball playoff season, to the hospital, to take patients minds’ off their treatment and make them smile!

The SagerStrong Foundation is partnering with the Zone to host  (3) patient events at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to celebrate March Madness … and bring joy into the hospital — with a bracket party to “select” our teams, have pizza, and make crafts, a “sweet sixteen” celebration with friends and the first annual SagerStrong Shootout at the Zone!
